CFP Examination The next sitting of Financial Planners Standards Council's (FPSC) Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP™) Examination will be on Saturday, November 17, 2007. The final registration deadline is October 17, 2007. You probably know that The Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants is a partner organization of the Financial Planners Standards Council (FPSC) that confers the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP™)designation to qualifying individuals. But, did you know that CAs with three years of relevant experience may qualify to write the CFP(tm) Examination without having to meet additional educational requirements? Qualifying through the FPSC Approved Prior Credential Policy for the CFP Examination, means CAs can earn the internationally recognized gold standard in Financial Planning - adding yet more credibility, marketability and breadth to their professional practices - sooner than they might have thought. Holders of certain degrees and/or professional designations are permitted to apply to write the PPE without formally completing further educational courses provided that they have a minimum of three years financial planning-related work experience and satisfy the following criteria: You must have one of the following degrees/professional designations approved by the FPSC Board of Directors:
